vauss.com was registered on October 6, 1999 at register.com. The name originated from a weapon used in the game, the Vauss Cannon. If you've ever played Descent 2 and/or Descent, think of a hybrid of the Gauss and Vulcan cannons, and you have a good idea of what that crackwhore weapon was like. I had originally purchased the domain for a Descent 3 clan called Vauss Whores. However, once I discovered how disgusting the game really is, I changed my mind and decided to turn this more into a collective domain. This domain was originally hosted on freeservers.com, back in the day when they hosted a domain for free and gave you like...20 MB of space. Then, vauss was hosted for over two years on Webaxxs, which provided 300MB of space and 9 GB of transfer a month. Of course, with all the popular sites on here, I had to move to a host that provided me more. In May 2002, Vauss changed hosts and moved to be hosted on OC Hosting, which gives you 1GB of space and 20GB bandwidth a month. Not bad at all, except for their shitty customer service. So, in August of this year, Vauss changed hosts once more to Surpass Hosting, which I'm liking muchly. In any case, this site's had banner-free hosting for nearly four years. All of you are just so impressed, I'm sure.

Since I don't play Descent anymore because of Windows XP's incompatibilty with DOS games, I decided to use vauss as a place for sites that my sister and I make. They mainly consist of anime sites, but what the hell. It's better than having something really stupid on here, like PORN. I don't host anyone else, except for a few close friends of mine, which is why Buntz, Druid, Usi, and Kitty Cat have their pages on here. I know that makes me a hypocrite, but oh well. They have the "j337 vauss hosting" and you don't--and won't get it.

Usi's layout rocked, but since we're fixing to get into March, I wanted something different to kickoff that great, kickass month where warm weather begins to return and lots of cool people celebrate their birthdays. :P To the far left, we see Robin Sena and Amon from Witch Hunter Robin, an anime series that's been one of my favorites for a year and a half. I swear, Robin and Amon make such a hot, sexy pedophiliac couple--screw the ten-year age difference. Lyrics come from Piscean ex-Smashing Pumpkins and Zwan frontman, William Patrick Corgan, Jr--or known to everyone as Billy Corgan--who has a birthday on St. Patrick's Day. Get out the pop tarts and cherry cola, bitches, and celebrate his 37th birthday in style. Oh, and Melissa Auf der Maur's birthday is the same day... and James Iha's is the 27th I believe. Like I said, lots of March birthdays. :P

If you want to see older, crappier layouts of vauss, go here. If you want to know more about me, go here. This page is link free, meaning you don't have to e-mail me and beg me to link it to your page. I'll happily link YOUR page, if you just tell me the URL. ^.~

Oh, and here are some things I will definitely say no to: affiliations, making you a site (unless I really like you, then I'll think about it), making you graphics (same as sites), HOSTING YOU ON HERE, giving you our own user[at]vauss.com e-mail address, ripping off my crack-inspired layouts, and other stuff like that.
