Tragic Ethers (formerly known as shizuka) is the name of my blog that I'm hosting myself, and powering with b2, a PHP-based blog-script with a mySQL database backbone. My blog used to be powered with Greymatter, a CGI-based blog script that comes with a commenting feature. If you're interested in blogging and you have CGI access on your host, I recommend it, if you don't have a mySQL database and a PHP-capable server. However, if you're lazy and only like making pretty bloggie layouts and completely lack any sort of CGI/PHP/mySQL access on your host, but you have FTP, I suggest Blogger, which is much simpler and lacks a commenting feature.
