Here are the reasons we dislike Wufei. If you agree with them, spiffy. If not, well...we don't necessarily agree with the reasons you LIKE him, either. I guess that makes us even.
While I was revamping WS! with Shini-kun, I decided to re-read my original rant about why I don't like Wufei. Now that I look back on this from a whole year after I originally wrote this, I decided that it was time for this to get a little revision.
Personally, I feel that Wufei is one of the biggest jerks within Gundam Wing, and definitely one of the top idiots of all anime. Why? Well, take a look at Wufei's general opinion of everyone. He hates people, and has an especially stong dislike of women. Granted, this is probably due in part to the loss of his wife, Meiran, in the Episode Zero manga. However, this is NOT a reason to treat others as if they are lower than dirt. Like many of "anime's finest jerks", Wufei has a rather short temper within the series. He also seems to have this supreme "aura of superiority." While I do not have a problem with this if the person truly IS superior, I *DO* have a problem with it when it is blatantly clear throughout the TV series and the OVA that Wufei is *very* inferior to the other Gundam pilots and other respectable characters within Shinkidousenki Gundam W.
Wufei seems to have a rather warped sense of "justice". Yes, he lost people that were dear to him when his colony within the L5 sector was blown up. It's understandable that he would want to seek justice after an event such as that. Who wouldn't? But, is that really a justification to attack cadets who are learning to pilot mobile suits in the middle of the night? Is that a reason to betray your fellow Gundam pilots and join the enemy's forces? Does that justify killing everyone that happens to piss him off in space or on Earth? No. In fact, that's usually a sign that someone needs some mental help and should be checked into the nearest mental institution as soon as possible.
Does Wufei have any attraction for any males from the series? Yaoi fans seem to think so, but as I'll have stated throughout most of this site, I don't know. No, I do NOT bash him because of his sexual orientation, I bash him because of the idiotic things he does time and time again throughout the TV series, OVA, and the OFFICIAL manga, which are Episode Zero, Ground Zero, and Blind Target.
What else do I hate about him? Anything that deals with Wufei, EXCEPT one very important thing: his Gundam. Why don't I hate Nataku? Probably because it's definitely one of the coolest Gundams in the show, that's why! Too bad the pilot is a total moron. *shrugs* In a way, the Shenlong and the Altron were a waste... X.x

Ok, to begin with let me set the record straight by saying that, yes Wufei is, in my opinion, the scum of the galaxy, but he is one of the five gundam pilots. His Gundam is one of the coolest, unfortunately, it is driven by a worthless traitor.
In the Gundam Wing series, Wufei has the worst attitude of any of the gundam pilots. He has a mean attitude, like Heero, but Heero is the calm, cold, cool, collective kind of mean. Meanwhile Wufei is the frantic, lonely, stressed out, "I've got a corncob shoved up my ass" kind of mean. In the series, he is the most easily pissed off. Anything pisses him off, especially anything Duo says.
Another favorite reason of mine to hate Wufei is his stance on women. All women are not "weak onnas" as Wufei repeatedly states throughout Gundam Wing. His former wife, Meiran (who called herself Nataku, believing she was the reincarnation of the Chinese god of mischief, jokes, and riddles) was killed in Episode Zero during the attack on L5 by the Mobile Suits. Although I understand that Wufei loved her very much, how come he never showed this while she was alive? Maybe he has some repressed anger and guilt, and self-hatred deep down that all his actions towards women are disrespectful and just plain ugly. In my opinion, Wufei should treat all women with respect, and even fall in love again (with Sally Po *DuH*). He needs to get over Meiran, and when he does remember her, he needs to respect her memory by respecting all women. Maybe Wufei is gay? His crude actions towards women may lead some to believe so.
Wufei is also the 'leftover' of the gundam pilots. Let me explain by going to an example from a Stephen King book I read twice.
ka-tet: n. a group of people sharing ka or the same fate.
I believe the gundam pilots are ka-tet. They are a group of five sharing the same destiny: to fight for peace with their Gundams. Wufei seems to accept ka in that he will always be a soldier and fight with his Gundam, but he rejects the idea of his ka-tet with the other four gundam pilots. He seems to think himself above all of the others. Which he is not, and if he is anything, it would be below them for rejecting this ka-tet. He also seems to always know about certain things before the others, how?, I have no clue.
Ok, I will soon stop boring you with the reasons that I hate Wufei, but now I will go on to say things about his actions in Endless Waltz. Wufei the traitor. In the Endless Waltz OVA, Wufei comes to follow the worthless child Mariemaia Barton Khushrenada. Why, or how he comes to the conclusion that the world be run by a prepubescent child I do not know, nor care. The point is that he goes against his ka-tet by joining with Mariemaia, and seems to try and change ka, or fate. Obviously he is working against a force greater than his own (not hard really to be greater than Wufag), and therefore showing his true worthlessness. Maybe later I shall come to some bigger and better conclusions, but this is, in general, why I dislike Wufei.
